Cyclone
Everything started back in 1984 when big wave rider Roberto Valério, after travelling to Australia and Hawaii, started to create his own brazilian label which would fabricate boardshorts that could compete with internacional brands.
In the very first years Cyclone had a strong partnership with another brazilian label called Company. Cyclone turned to be the right hand of Company´s surfwear sections in their stores in Rio de Janeiro. Besides that, Cyclone was the first brand in Brazil that formed and supported a surf team by sponsorship.
Since then, Cyclone was supporting and hosting competitions like the Brazilian Rookie Circuit and, Regional Amateur Circuits and a Stop for the World Rookie Contest in 1994. A famous and respected event that runs until today. A brand considered as 100% Surf in the last decades that formed and supported big names in brazilian surf like: Peterson Rosa, Vitor Ribas, Dadá Figueiredo, Joao Gutemberg, Léo Neves, Halley Batista among others. Today, Cyclone has a Surf Equipe with over 30 members comepting in national and international events hosting local amateur circuits in the northern hemisphere of Brazil.
